The Brief

To create a super flexible and easy to update website that showcased the character of the Big Feastival brand.

Big Feastival came to us as their previous site was causing headaches to update and didn’t allow them to let their brand shine through. The site needed to be improved for the user with a focus on bespoke filtering for music, food, comedy and family fun. I led on the information architecture, UX and UI of the project. Working closely with the team at IMG to seamlessly integrate their ever-rotating branding and content requirements.

Their previous ticketing page was complex for the user to understand and easily find the right ticket package for their requirements. We completely reworked the user journey, simplifying how the different tickets are presented, whilst making sure all content is out in the open and easily accessible.

Takeaways

A key UX milestones for this project was a powerful filtering system was created around their needs. We tailored the filters to work independently within the line up pages, and the food vendor pages

Due to the food, drink, music and entertainment requirements of the festival, I led on the creation of a modular UI system where the client could setup bespoke landing pages, pull through their listing data and build the filters around them, without our input future own the line.
